Bridging the Generations

In these increasingly challenging times, our children, families and the church have come under siege. The foundational strength of the family has lost its foothold leading to a “fatherlessness” in our culture. Loss of family focus and strength has weakened and sidelined the church in a culture desperately needing the message of Jesus Christ.

We are at a critical point to turn our hearts back to the power of blessing to strengthen families.

The Fear of the Lord is the Foundation of Our Success

Every structure that is to last must be build on a strong foundation – the Bible tells us very clearly that if a building is to stand up against storms and winds, it must be built on a rock, not sand.

The same truth applies to establishing a business – if we want any enterprise to last and be successful, we must build it on a strong foundation. That great and time-honored business consultant King Solomon says that wisdom will give us discretion in decision-making (Proverbs 2: 10 and 11), great creative ideas (Proverbs 8: 12) and lead us to “riches and honour” (Proverbs 3: 16; 8: 18) and full treasuries (Proverbs 8: 21).

The Battle of Self

The Bible says that the human heart is both wicked and deceitful (Jeremiah 17: 10), and whether we like it or not, part of the condition of being human. We are made in God’s image, but we retain enough of the old, unregenerate nature to make the battle against self – our “flesh” – a major daily grind.
